Job description, responsibilities and duties
Siemens Healthineers is looking for a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Data Architect within our Digital Operations and Data Science team. The right candidate will work with the industry’s latest CRM and database technologies in support of a highly focused and entrepreneurial department leading change, driving growth and supporting key business services. The individual will contribute to the overall objectives of the department and will be a hands-on technical resource to a variety of cross-functional teams and global project initiatives.
The candidate will have a solid background in all facets of data architecture with a focus on data management, integration, strategic system design and implementation.
The ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated IT professional that enjoys working closely with commercial business leaders. This person will be inspired by technology and its use in an ever changing, fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals aligning the vision with key stakeholders and initiatives
- Lead the team towards a sustainable, scalable and agile data digitalization future
- Establish best practices for monitoring include centralized quality, tracking, logging and completeness metrics
- Help guide future data governance discussions and processes
- Transform existing data pipelines and ETL processes to streamline the analytics
- Estimate scope and be able to translate business requirements into action
- Integrate new data sets into the existing data landscape coming from disparate and potentially unknown domains
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in a data architect or similar role
- Well-versed in traditional relational database design and data modeling
- Expert knowledge of SQL/TSQL and MSSQL
- Understanding of database management and administration
- Experience communicating complex technical solutions with business stakeholders
- Experience with cloud architecture
- Experience with processing and managing large data sets (multi-TB scale)
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math or related field.
Desired Qualifications:
- Data engineer: You have several years of experience in the field of Cloud Services, e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and have worked in cross-functional teams
- You have strong technical expertise in DB technologies (Snowflake, Oracle, Hadoop, MS-SQL etc.), data integration methods ODBC, CDC and ETL
- You have experience as a Software Developer or DevOps Engineer in agile working models
- Experience with Snowflake, Snap Logic, Airflow and/or Qlik Replicate
- Experience with graph database technology
- Experience with the med-tech/healthcare industry
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience with modern BI platforms such as Qlik Sense, Tableau and Power BI
Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 3800 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
